Default Trillium Lake

I'm going up to Trillium lake end of this week, I don't have a boat so will just be doing a little wet wading. Will it be worth it? Anywhere else in that area that is better? Also what flies should I use? Any advice would be great. Thanks

My favorite fly up there is powerbait. When that doesn't work, I'll try power bait. No, in all seriousness, those planters may hit a wooly bugger, but again, if I was fishing there, power bait.

Any news on how the fish at Trillium are hitting? Anymore tips on flies to be used? I'm a noob here so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I fished it about a week and a half ago from my pontoon boat. I got eight fish in about 4 hours, best one (14" hold over) was taken slow trolling a carey speacial fly with a med. sink line. Took two nice fish (12"+) casting/retrieving a chartruse rooter tail. Fished the last hour of thefour from the bank with the kids and got 4 on chrtruse power bait on a sliding sinker set-up.

Talked with another guy in a pontoon boat that was hooking fish pretty regularly. He was trolling a small hot shot in a frog pattern with a split shot up the line a couple feet. Saw him loose a real nice fish (16"+) at the boat. He said the day before he was killing them with that plug.
