Yaquina bay is doing fine. There is not too much fresh water.

I'll have a good report for you at the end of the weekend. My boat partner had the boat out on a crabbing mission with his family. I forward you the scoop when I have it.

I crabbed Yaquina Bay yesterday, Thursday, for a few hours. We got ten and I think we could have done a lot better if we'd had an experienced crew. The tides were big too.

Has anybody been out near Hammond? I might get coerced into crabbing this weekend and I'm curious if the commercial guys are still working the area.

Hammond is my usual crabbing ground, it's always produced limits for me. Not sure if the commercial guys are crabbing it though.

Check with Gene at Tackle Time (front page). He does Commercial Crabbing out the the Elija in the "off" season. He can tell you what's going on.
