Another beautiful day on the ocean
Non-existant long ocean swell, no wind, just a little fog to deal with. Left the Jetty tips at 8 AM dropped pots and headed out to find some Coho since we needed a short day.
Didn't find too many right off the bat, but with some numbers from Reel Crazy we got into them (and then realized just how close we were to Reel Crazy as he materialized out of the fog!). Thank you for the numbers!
Also talked with Arnold's Ark...good talking with both of you and reel (sorry, couldn't help it) great meeting Steve on the beach! It is always great to put a face to the name and voice.
We limited the boat on some nice Coho, one of them tipping the scale at 16 lbs! They were off the lighthouse in about 235 feet of water. We released 4 natives to find the keepers.
The crab were not quite as cooperative. The pots were really full, but almost all of them were female....next time.
All in all a good day on a flat greasy smooth ocean. Made me wish I could run for Tuna.
