Default The trend is bad

Hey! ... lets hope Wak gets some fish today because it looks like no one is sneaking out this weekend. So I guess I'll hang at the house and organize my sock drawer.

Ouch!! I really thought I might get out on Saturday for a couple
of hours ... Oh well, looks like maybe Thursday morning and
Saturday afternoon will be good for Glass Ball hunting on the
beaches!! Won't be there for Thursday, but I'm gonna watch that
wind real careful on Saturday and as soon as it switches I'm gonna
start beach-combing!!

Sigh....Who ever decided the work week should be 5 days long and weekends only 2? I move that we change this! I propose that weekends now have 5 days, and the work week only two!

Well, I guess every week that the seas are stormy brings us that much closer to the weeks when it isn't. Hopefully, this will be the same time Hali season hits.

My dream is to win the lottery so I can fish full time!! MUCH better than
working even TWO days a week (IMHO)!

Mark you work 7 days a week when the weather is good. It's just that the two day job is so much more fun than the 5 day job.

Or was that 4 and 3 like myself?

FishPlay,

You're right the first time ... 5 and 2. :depressed: :depressed: except in July when I
work my regular job 4 days and fish 3 days ... and in August when I have
every Friday and Monday scheduled off. Can we say TUNA time??

Hi fishers, Got out yesterday, the sky and ocean beautiful, small wind and large lings. Took only 2 and half hours to get 6 nice lings out of Newport. Reports from Englunds, Harrys is that chinook being caught at the pile and that a nice bite near Coos Bay where a lot of the commercials are. Hope you all have a great time at Santanas Friday. Looking to get out again next week as the ling piccata was just to die for. Well not really die. Tips up.

Here is the link I use...

NOAA Weather forecast, Newport etc.

11 seconds is a bit short for me to make the trip. Ods are that you may get out but I had plans for Cathlamete and the forecast isn't quite good enough to dissapoint those who are looking forward to fishing with me Friday and Saturday.

I need a salt fix pretty bad... Gotta get some soon. I have plans to take the family to the San Juans the first week in May, then off to Newport.

Thanks Ray. That's the same link that I use, but it wouldn't load for me this morning. Just a blank page with little red x's and IE displayed "done" in the lower left-hand corner. :depressed:

Here's some other forecast links you can try if that one fails you again:

Link 1 ----> I like this one because it lists some of the tide schedules below the forecast.

Link 2
