Default Official Santanas count for Friday

Please sign up on this thread for Friday's TA meeting at Santanas. I will be showing up around 5:30-6:00pm to eat dinner. I would imagine this event will probably last till 9:00-10:00pm.

Please include a rough time of arrival and whether or not you would like to eat dinner there.

Thanks.

Skein and the Missus - for dinner.

Are they gonna be okay if others of us bring show-and-tell items, like rods and reels, etc?

Santanas is near the GI Joes at Beaverton Mall. Here's the vital info:

Santanas
3655 S.W. Hall Blvd
Beaverton, OR
Phone: 503-643-0488

Cross streets are Hall Blvd. and Cedar Hills Blvd. Santanas is on Hall just before Cedar Hills Blvd. in the shopping complex there.

Directions! I need directions. I got lost last night trying to get to Drachir's spinner-making clinic, and I don't want to miss out two times in a row. Remember, I'm from Appalachia (Sweet Home) and have never been to a big city like Beaverton before.

Any hints about exits, cross-streets, distances, etc will be most appreciated! I don't want to miss a minute.

Skein - Up I-5 to 217. Head up 217 and take the main Beaverton exit (Beaverton Hillsdale and Cannon Rd (AKA Hwy 8, AKA TV Hwy west of Beaverton I believe) exit. THe second road after you exit is Canyon. Go left on Canyon/Hwy8 (heading west now- 270deg latitude is.... ). Hall blvd is about a 1/4 mile west of 217. Stay in the right lane on Canyon
and turn right on Hall blvd. Hall swings around a big sweeping lefter and you'll see a strip mall sort of building off on the left. Santana's is there and Hall Street Bar and Grill. Not sure what else. I'll have my cell on 503 869-0890.

You can also exit 217 on Hall blvd and go west on hall. It's probably a little slower but there is a direct exit on Hall. If you take that you'll cross TV Hwy/Canyon where I told you to turn left.
Map of 217/Hall area:

I just read the spinner post on the main board and am guessing Skein will need two sets of directions and phone numbers. One to leave at home and another to actually bring with him.

I'm guessing you got hung up at the ballet place just down from GAM in Clackamas last night. There is a yoga place just down the road from Santana's, should we send someone down to pick you up before we get started?

Oh boy, the directions I gave him will run him right by "Stars Caberet"!

Well, since I messed him up I'll volunteer to go get him!

O.K. Skein...

If all else fails get in your boat and punch in:

N 45 29' 39"
W 122 48' 29"

O.K., maybe you should use a hand held...

When you get there get out and shout "TUNA TUNA TUNA!!!" and someone will come out and wave you over

That should be a close guess if not the actual parking lot.

Don't forget your cell phone

Hello All

I've been lurking here forever. I'm going to make it over there after work tommorow about 7ish. Looking foreward to meeting you all and picking up some info. I really want to hear some of that tuna talk.

I hope to hell you guys are having a good time - AT MY EXPENSE!!!

Here I was, lost and alone, a mugger's target, playing bumber-cars with 43,000 psychos, and all you can do is make fun of me! I'm hurt.

And why would I stop at the "Star's Caberet" when I can go just a little further and see Mel in a burgee? Uh...I may have just answered my own question.

Look, if I don't make it, go ahead and send Rod out looking for me. I won't be far...

What's Stars? A dance club? If it is nearby, let's all go after we're done with the tackle

Wellllllll.............you COULD call it a dance club.

I've heard some refer to it as the naked ballet!

Of course I've never been there myself, only second hand information of course!

Man- it was really hard to get a count on this. I kept cracking up and having to start over. Rod- looks like about 23 confirmed for dinner, but there's another 1/2 dozen that said they were coming but didn't say dinner or not. Another 8-10 no dinners.
Hmmm... with drop ins looks like it could be another biggee.

PS- Jen- A Salty Dog in a burgee is going to be about all the "culture" you'll need for one night!

Mel - Are you saying that the sight of you in a burgee is going to satisfy my cultural needs?

Hmmmm.... I guess I need a little convincing

Well Mel, I guess it's time to let the cat out the bag now.

Here's the real picture of Mel out on the town hitting the local club scene. I tried to hide some of Mel's more noticable "quirks" shall we say(knee-high logging boots, pink feather boa, eyepatch, leather whip, and god knows what else he's hiding in that thong), but I think's it's time he came clean.

Should make for an interesting get together tonight!

Okay, I've managed to get up off the floor and pull myself together.

Rod - all I can say is if that guy shows up tonight and starts doing table dances, I'm outta there. Just a little too much "culture" for me, if you know what I mean...

Tuni is now on her way out of the state. She may not stop till she gets across the border. Don't know which one (she wouldn't tell me) but I'm sure she's headed South. She's a Cabo girl!
Hey -I think I look pretty good in pink!
