Saturday Garibaldi Tuna Report
Last minute pulled an all nubie crew together only to find seas much worse than predicted friday am. Left dock 6:30 dropped 4 pots and headed 270. Reports frome those out front said seas were getting worse not better the farther you went out. We figured we would see for ourselves. It did, considered several time turning in. Decesion time was when we were just north of Halibut hill, Stop this ruff ride, maybe turn south and try for halibut, not likley to be able to stay on drift in this slop. Word came from Sealicious and Tuna time they were on a wide open bite. We just had another 25 miles to go. Sloppy but safe enough, lets go for it. Arrived 45.48 / 124.56 droped gear. bam fish on. Ran all the gear for the newbies, they reeled them in. Pretty much non stop action. By 3 hrs of fishhing we were ready to call it a day. Came back in about 3:30 with Sales Call watching our back all the way in. Dan could have easly blown by me with his nice ride but he was looking out for one of us smaller crafts. Another great example of working together and leaving No Dogs Behind.
Thanks Again "Sales Call"
Almost forgot, 30 fish in 3 hrs.Who Ahh!!!
