Re: Charleston..OTC tourney..
We started straight out 43:23 line to the 125. No warm water, no birds, nobody else fishing. The fleet had headed north. We picked up and ran north to where the rest of the fleet was fishing 43:29 + , 125 +. We had one spot we went around 5 or 6 times for 6 3/4 fish (9:30 - 10:30). Shark got part of the last one. It went completely dead and we did not pick up another fish. From the people I talked to they had similar results. We used mex flags on all rods, long ones seemed to get bit. Didn't seem like we were in a very big bunch of fish as the bites were in the same 100 yard circle. Couldn't get anything on swim baits or irons (not very good at that though). Ocean was great on the way out (with the exception of a few miles of fog). Nice all day fishing on a blue bird day. Meet some great people from Charleston who will be heading North next year for an event or two.
