Default Sawyer's Landing: Another Slip Option

Since lots of folks are considering getting temporary marina slips at Depoe or Newport, thought I'd mention Sawyer's Landing if you don't already know about it. It's east on Yaquina Bay Bvd past the Embarcadero Resort. A sleepy little spot for mostly small boats. Has a campgraound right there. Very quiet & out of the way. They have a hoist (no ramp); the hoist fee was $15 a few years ago. My guess is you won't have near the electrolysis problems as the bigger harbors. There are some regulars who bring their campers & boats there every summer and stay for weeks at a time. I'm guessing there are spots for 30 to 40 small boats.

I've thought about how cool a "retirement" business that would be to run; turn it into a serious fishing village. Anyone want to go in on it?

I had my boat there for a couple months a few years back. Good place, very nice and fair people. They keep a good eye out for your boat, although at the time there was no locked gate to the dock. The best crabbing in the bay is right there, also.

Hey Snapset, do you remember what the shore power situation was? Any plug-ins at the slips? Thx....MMc
