Default Clackamas River Steelhead

I was just down on the Clackamas River fishing for Steelhead on the fly and couldn't get anything. I was wondering if you guys could suggest some fly patterns. Thanks, Brennon. And I'm new to the site.

I would try glo bugs. When the Clack gets warm the fishing gets tougher. Early morning and evening are the best times. And definitely hit it after any kind of rain.

Ok will do. Not sure when I'll be able to go there again, but maybe for next time.

Thanks Brad.

Ask twenty fly fishermen what is their favorite fly and you will get twenty different answers. Fly size and presentation are probably more important then pattern.

Andy speaks the TRUTH. Dependind on all of the variables that day anthing could work. We all have our own "go to" bug but you'll have to spend time throwing everything in your box to find it!
