Default Garibaldi Tuna Report

Headed out at 5:15 am NW to 46 x 125. Nice water, easy ride. 61.4 and blue at 45.50 x 124.5. Put gear in with sightings of dolphins. Headed NW on a 7-8 mph troll. 20 min. later the show began. Plenty of action, mainly on zucinni daisy chain with a mexican flag trailing. Mulitple doubles, single after single. Only about a 30 min. rest period. The radio chatter had fish at 46 x 125 area, never made it as fish were where we were at as well. Not sure of the total as we (just the two of us, fishin fool and outcast) lost count due to the action. I took care of 9 tonight, the others await the butchering tommorrow. My guess is there is 9-10 more in our body bag. Good size fish. The ride home was even better. 27-35 mph on the way back. It was an outstanding time. 61 gal. of fuel used for a 10 hour total trip.

Thanks for the report. I'm trying to decide between Hammond or Little Italy for Saturday.

Randy, it is about the same distance from either port.

BTW, sorry I did not recognize your boat last weekend on our little salmon stop.

Cheers.

Good to know the distance is about the same. I was thinking of the angle of swells on the trip home, as I like that auto pilot rocking chair. Depends on the final wind prediction.

Will you be out Saturday? I'll listen up for you.

Someone just left a message on my cell that tuna are dying at 46:01x 124:49. Sounded like folks were very busy during the call. I have no idea who it was that left the message.

Wow, anonymous tuna updates. Do you have a 1-900 tuna line?

Thanks, I'm plotting all this on the Raymarine Planner.
