Default Cheap Crab Bait

I was at the new Grocery Outlet (used food store  )In Salem today and picked up some chicken leg quarters. 10 pound bags at 25 cents a pound. Cheapest I've found them in years.

The store I was at is on Lancaster drive next to PetSmart close to Wally World. There is also a store off of commercial st. / front st. near downtown Salem.
McMinnville has a store across from lumbermans on 99W.
The stock seems to be the same at all stores but a phone call may in order so as to prevent a waisted trip.

I've used turkey legs myself and they are tuffer than chicken so they last a little longer if your pinning your bait instead of using bait cages. Both will fish equally as well but I've never found turkey legs at 25 cents a pound.

10 pounds of hindquarters will fish 9 pots all day if you use the bait cages. For $2.50 I don't have to deal with saving, packaging, and storing fish carcasses. The chicken takes up less room in the freezer.

Albertsons regularly runs a special on 10# bags for 29 cents/lb.

My wife insists that we skin most of the chicken we eat. I freeze the skin (the crab's favorite, fatty part of the chicken) in little tupperware containers. Then I pop the chunks out of the tupperware like ice cubes and bag the "cubes" for bait. Primo bait and it's essentially free...

Frugal, SlabQuest and I bet it works fine. I guess I should try to watch albie's sales a little closer. The cheapest I've seen it is .39 a pound for the last couple years.

Hi Tag,
Gracie is doing well. We had a few issues in the begining. My initial reservations have been releived and I'm glad I gave US a 100% try. She still doesn't approve of me sleeping durring the day. She is just like a little kid...brings her toy's into the bedroom to play and thereby wake me up with subtelness.
Thanks for putting myself and Steph together.
