Default scouting trip last night pics

headed out for an evening scouting trip, we got to this clear cut and stopped and glassed for about 20 minutes and didnt see anything and then went down to set up one of my trail cams in an covered area where there is a good trail coming thru it. got the cam set and came back out, started to leave and looked back in the cut, and there they were!
About 40 head of cows and calves. there must have been as many calves as there were cows. I heard one bull bugle but glassed every elk I could see but there were no antlers. I know cows bugle but this bugle sounded too big for a cow.

Headed up the road to the next place I was going to set up a cam in and there were 2 elk that I could see and they bolted when i got closer, I tied up the cam and went to turn it on and the batteries were dead. Guess I should have checked that beforte I got there.
We seen 5 deer also. only 1 buck a fork x spike.
