Default Any Wednesday Tuna Reports from Garibaldi?

Anybody got any info on how the boats out of Garibaldi did on tuna Wednesday and, if they had success, where they found them? Thanks for any info.

Sorry for late report. Passed out when I got home last night. I ran aboard the Finale along with Trophy1 on Wed. We ran north based on reports and SST's. I'm sorry I don't have the numbers since I forgot my chicken scratches onboard the boat. The fish seemed very concentrated in a couple small areas so I don't want to guess. I think Trophy1 will have that info when he posts. I know we were out beyond the 125 line. In fact the water wasn't blue until we got out that far. When we got the fish to bite we had a coule triples and doubles, but mostly singles. Ended the day with 14 fish, all on the troll. Did get a couple bites on traps, but couldn't convert them. It seemed when the multiples hit, the lure didn't matter. One triple got bit on: a mini (4" mex flag clone), purple/black hex and the third on 8" zuchinni Zuker. As far a singles went. The mini mex flag was consistently getting bit. And we put another mini in tequilla sunrise, and that was good for a couple also. The big zuker didn't get bit again so we changed to regular zuchinni on the way back center and that worked too. Observations: small baits run farther back was working good. We began to troll South later, to straighten our heading back. This was a mistake. We ran into green water before very long and were out of the fish. Should have stayed on the fish longer and just run back from there.
On the way back we saw the BIGGEST pod of porpoise I've ever seen. Hundreds, if not thousands, as far as you could see. That was pretty cool. Also something else unusual. We saw sunfish at 5mi from the tips and 1mi just beyond the jetty. Usually we find them out at the tuna grounds. Anyhow, off to clean up from yesterday.

Tuna ball summerised it up pretty well. Really green water all the way out to the 125.02. Blue water was good at 125.o4-7 x 45.46. Didnt take long trolling south to get back to green water. Fishing was scratchy for me. singles only with a couple after the stop hits but no takers. I had all daisy chains and preditor chains on at first, 8 rods out and only got 3 fish. had them all in tight to the boat, msybr too tight with my wake pattern and 1 long rod way out. Long rod took 2 of the first 3. after some talk with Tuna Ball we stretched them back out and put out single 4" zucinin and mexican flag and picke up the next 4 fish as singles. Very nice ocean in and out. The 24 huge crabs for 4 pots finished the day off nicely. Only thing missing was the Sun. Two first timers got to take Tuna and see blue water. With a youngster and her Dad our party of 5 had a good day.

Note to self, That long rod way out and put up on the Arch holder, Don't forget to put the clicker on. Looked up and almost spooled Penn Wide 114H. Big Pig fish of the day. That was on a green and yellow Eat ME 7" lure.
