Default Flounder fishing

I havent caught a flounder since the 1970s. Have they returned anywhere? Newport? Sand Lake? Just wondering if anyone could give some recent experiences or tips on finding these critters?
Thanks Much!

Anyone know where to catch these little flat guys outside of Tillamook Bay? They are quite tasty.

Last June I saw quite a few caught out of the river over at Seaside. Looked like fairly decent size, too. I didn't see what they were using, but I'd guess sand shrimp.

jdbrightfish-Thanks, I will try that area this summer. I will have to fish a little farther out than right off the south jetty though as I don't really like to fish in the breakers.

We catch them all the time outside of Hammond in the flag pole area.

believe it or not, I caught one near the 205 bridge bouncing a walley jig. It was a total head-scratcher!
