Re: Charleston report (Nice ocean)
Hey, you should've said hi!! It was sporting my ifish apparel. I went very well from my vantage point also. Everyone was happy with the outcome and hopefully answered a lot of questions. I got a chance to ride on the Stabi-Craft boat that was there after the seminar and it was a real eye opening for an aluminum boat. There was a good chop on the bar from the hard outgoing tide and we did 30 mph over it with ease and didn't loose any fillings on my teeth in the process. There were two coast guard guys on board also and there eyes were wide open and the only words were "we have to get one of these for sure!" I talked with Dan Lomax about the boat in length afterwards and hopefully people will ride along with him and see what it can really do. He's also here on Ifish.
As of the fishing we headed south this morning and got three limits of bottomfish and had a nice mix of all kinds of species. Kinda makes a guy nervous from the limitations of certain species these days. I'm going to invest in a fish chart that's for sure. But a few salmon were caught but the big one is news to me. That's a hog this early in the season. Pretty slow for the most part on salmon overall.
Anyhow, that's my report.
