I plan to run for tuna in the morning aboard the Finale. What time are you planning to shove off? We will listen for you on CH14. TB

Fished out of Garibaldi today and found lots of Dirty Green Water, Birds, Shrimp boat and no fish.

Fished to 124 46 & (45 40) to (45 50). 57-degree water.

61.5 Gallons today.

Found that "finger" of 58.5 degree water and fished it until that finger dissipated.

That's not what I wanted to hear! Well, I hope we aren't just going for a long boat ride tomorrow. Did you happen to venture any further west looking for blue water? I'm guessing you aren't going back out tomorrow now? TB

Todays SSt says you were close, got to get to the 125 line for warm water now.
I'm giving it a try tomorrow.

Good effort AC, sorry you didn't find them but that helps know where they're not, at least today.......
Nice to have a solid, concrete report, not just drifting on last weekend's reports and free SST shots!

It just got too rough for my Boat, Crew and Me. I couldn't imagine fighting a fish comfortably in the conditions we encountered as we approached the 125 line.

I hope that the Offshore Ocean cooperates for everyone tomorrow! Good luck out there!

We went to 125 line and caught 6 in about an hour...it was ugly washing machine conditions - 2 out of 4 on the boat sick....we headed back. Fish and very nice blue water 60 degree.

Thanks for the report Chumsalot (way to represent your moniker), any more specific numbers where you caught fish? Sorry conditions were too 'sporty' to fish longer, but glad you got something for your fuel bill and efforts!

What was your latitude on the 125 line? Thanks.

We were at 125 05 x 45 47. Absolute felt pen line drawn in the water. Green yuckie on one side, nice clear blue on the other. 57.7 degree on the green side, 60.0 on the blue. And I mean a 'LINE' there wasn't 6 inches of transition water. And the temp jumped from 57.7 to 60 in less the length of the boat. Sharpest most defined line I have ever seen. This is only my second year tuna fishing, so maybe that is pretty normal - but I've never seen it that pronounced. It was pretty cool. Except the washing machine part...yuck. Oh - another interesting thing....I marked a waypoint right on top of the 'line'. We threw the gear out and started trolling NW. Hooked up in about 10-15 minutes and I marked that spot of course. Then we continued to troll and I kept making big swings back through and around the fish waypoint...catching the 6 we got - by the last fish, the green water had moved right on top of my fish waypoint...which was about 1/4 mile west of the line originally. Not sure how fast that line typically moves - but I thought that was kind of interesting that it moved that far that quickly....
