i'm a little leary of putting it on my antenna... thinking it might be a little to much drag for the thing.. might make a pole on the other side of the boat for it..

Dave, what are you going to buy? I think you need a biiiiggg boat. One that can chase FB and
Tuna. So big that you will need my boat for a dingy.

Hello Rod,

Got my Burgee in the mail today - It looks grrreattt! Hell, it will look like a whole pirate fleet if everybody flies these at the same time. Yeah!

edsr, I'm guessing that the 'fleet' thing was the whole idea.

BTW, in a week or so the Admiral will be flying one of these bad boys on his flagship off the coast of Navarre, Fla.

I call Dad the Admiral because he has at last count 8 boats, not all of which actually float or work. It's a family joke.

Rod, they look great!

I got two so I could fly one at the trailer in case any salty dogs are wondering around trying to figure out which abode is mine.

Did you get hit for the mailing? If so, I'll bet we can help you out. You did too much work already to have to pay that as well.

Thanks for putting these together!

Yes they are nice.
I flew mine with pride on my newly installed G.I. Joes special flag mast. It was beautiful for about 5 minutes then the mast bent backwards. :depressed:
I had to pull over and pull of the burgee to save it from hitting the drink. I'm taking back that $10 Flag Pole. At least I still have the burgee  .
If anyone has a good idea about how to fly these let me know. I thought I had that issue put to bed but as it turns out it was headed to Davy Jones Locker....

Mr. Fisherman- if you have a bow rail- order a clamp on flag (burgee) pole and clips from West Marine or ? - Mine's all Stainless and has good swivel clips. Don't make the mistake of leaving it up at night if you're trying to catch some zzz's in the V-berth though! Things rattle like crazy down through the hollow bow rails and then the cabin's like an amplifier. Don't ask me how I know this.

alternative- Order a base mount (just a round SS mount) and a regular flag staff (wood with clips) and you can mount it on your toe kick or ?
You could always put a set of 20 foot outriggers on sea lion and run that Salty Dog Burgee waaaayyyy up there!

Flags will stress your antenna's (depending of course on the size of antenna and the flag).

Mr. F.,

I bought the same one with the same results, actually I bent it even before getting it out. What I did was just replace the crappy tube with a 3/8" stainless tube. I used some longer s.s. nuts and bolts, took the ball cap off the old tube and epoxy'd it to the new tube, and drilled out three new holes and used s.s. key rings instead of the ones they had. Works awesome now.

Miss B is correct....the proper way to display a burgee is on the bow or pulpit rail

Boy I'm glad to hear that. I thought it was gonna cost a fortune to fill that tube with Viagra so it would stand up straight

Bruce, no wories. I had it clamped to the bow pulpit. I can't wait to fly it with pride.

Now Rod, was your staff longer after the ,ahem, cosmetic surgery?
