Default Clark County Fair

Man that thing is big, it puts Salem’s to shame. Except where they play the concerts. You call that an amphitheater, I don’t think so. But anyway the rest of it was real nice. My youngest daughter Michelle came out for a visit so we all went to the fair. They have duck races that were so cool. As you can see in the picture they let my daughter (nearest the camera) and other spectators hold the ducks and let they go and mad they move out. It was a pretty nice day.

Oh ya, they were all over the place! The wife wears braces so she can not eat any for a while. You got the market on the Kettle Corn?

The Clark County Amphitheater is just South of the Fair Grounds. They share a parking lot on that side.

If it was the same place that they had the rock concert yesterday, my statement stands. If there is another place in that area, that would be cool.

Queensryke played at the fair on Sunday. Not the Amp.

On the google picture I provided it is the green grass oval south of the fairground.

The dirt patch just North of the Amp is where the bands play for the fair.

We're not doing too bad. Been doing it for just over a year now and it's going crazy in a good way. We started doing it as a fundraiser for our Relay for Life team and it has bloomed from there. I've been getting some input/help from a guy who has over 40 flavors and has been doing it for over 6 years now!! We have no intention of venturing to Clark County. Mainly we want to stay local while picking and choosing the events outside of Yamhill County that call us. We've taken 2 this year outside Yamhill County, the HIllsboro Airshow which is this weekend, and the Portland Holiday Food and Gift bazaar in November. Both are fairly large events that we are new to, so we'll see how we do. Our main "niche" is still fundraising, which is why we started doing this in the first place. Only now we can do fundraisers for other groups and organizations rather than just our Relay Team! Earlier this year we did one for McMinnville Parks and Rec Youth baseball/softball and they earned just shy of $5000 using the kettle corn instead of candy bars. The parents were stoked!!!
So yeah, I guess we're having fun with it too!

P.S. - If you get the notion to enter the photography contest and end up winning, you'll get 2 bags delivered to your door along with whatever other prize the mods come up with!
