Smile New Tuna Fisherman

Hi, I'm new to IFISh, been listening for about one year. Started Tuna fishing last year, had a great time. I've never done anything as exciting as catching Tuna on a fishing pole. Went out last year 4 or 5 times. Caught several fish and I'm hooked on Tuna. First trip out was 3rd July 2007 My brother-in law and my 18yr old daughter we filled the boat and I've been waiting for the fish to get close enough to chase and the weather to get better. This is a great place to listen and learn from all the dogs, thanks for all the info. BS Express

hey brian fancy meeting you here. I check in once in awhile to see how far tuna are we may never see a day like we had last year but oh the memories. You know some years they just don't come close I have been as far as 200 miles to find them in the past. Looks like not that far this year but it happens. motor will be on boat next week, about time, everything else ready , let me know when you want to buddy up and chase something. If the wind blows we can always grab a six pack and go sit on my dock and sturgeon fish. I was splitting wood on ramp the other day watched a guy anchor just below me had a fish on in five minutes. Watched it drag him around for awhile then he must have lost it, he just sat down for a few minutes then idled back to his anchor. Kim and I hooked and reeled in one over 6' a couple of weeks ago after a couple of jumps and two burning runs it went around bridge, had to jump in boat and finally pulled it up in deep hole by mill. Love to see those bubbles. Thinking about it makes me want to go pump mud shrimp.Keep in touch blue back are here to if all else fails.
