Default deschutes smallies

Hit the lower deschuts hiked up the railroad tracks in macks cayon. I was fly Casting for steelhead with a dredger green sparkabugger. I cast it in some slow water and started to catch nice size smallies 1-3 lb range all through the day. I only managed to hook one steelhead and lost it at the bank but the bass fishing was very entertaining. I havent heard much about bass in the deschuts but they are in there thick in the lower river we were fishing above rattlesnake rapids.

What doesn't belong is this post. Read Welcome to the Bass and Panfish Board!

Apparently you didn't read Welcome to the Bass and Panfish Board!. Pay attention to the part about invasive species discussions.
