19\' Jetcraft totaled in collision (w/pics)
This post is with permission from Ifish moderators and moderator of linked thread.
For those of you who do not already know me, I live here in Northern CA. Leave the CA jokes out, this is a serious thread.
One of the moderators of the local fishing website (equivalent to Ifish but for NorCal folks) was involved in a boating accident. Fortunately, he is only a bit banged up and should make a full recovery. Click on the link below. The pictures are on the second page of the thread.
Lets all be safe out there!
19' Jetcraft totaled, click here.

Empire,
The pictures aren't coming through. Is it me or are the links on the second page (for the photos) not working?

To elaborate what Reelman said, they are on the second page of the thread.
At the bottom of the first page, lower left corner area you will see "Pages 1 2 3"
Click on the number 2 to get to the second page.

Re: 19\' Jetcraft totaled in collision (w/pics)
Holy shimoleys. That would suck. I wonder what the other guy was thinking. He'd have to been not paying attention for a long time to not see the boat coming up ahead of him.

Re: 19\' Jetcraft totaled in collision (w/pics)
I saw someone posted the pics above, that is fine. If you have not done so, it is worth your while to read Hemi's (victim) story on page 1 and follow up on page two of his thread. He did a good job writing his story, which I imagine is not easy when his boat is sitting in his driveway like that.

Re: 19\' Jetcraft totaled in collision (w/pics)
Ah, found the problem... For some reason, I couldn't view the photos at work.
Interesting story and great responses from his fellow bulletin boarders.
I do wonder what was the damage to the other boat.

Hey Empire. I tried to log on to your web. I could not get on. I would envite all you Calif. fishermen to attend the Salmon Trout Enhancement Conference in Tillamook Oregon, March 26-28. See ifish.net front page under STEP conference.Or give me an email at --jdovetillanglers@tillanet.com--thanks Jerry

Re: 19\' Jetcraft totaled in collision (w/pics)
WOW!!!!! Glad everyone made it out OK. Wonder if the guy even saw your friend or not? You would think if he did, that he'd slow down, stop, or try to avoid a collision at all costs WHEW! That's pretty crazy stuff there!

Re: 19\' Jetcraft totaled in collision (w/pics)
This is really a testatment to a well made boat. (no I don't own a jetcraft) Looking at the height of the impact on the side, it is a wonder that the welds that hold the side to the chine did not rip out. Given the description the owner gives us of the accident, it does not sound like the hull was comprimised below the waterline either. Again pretty amazing and I am glad the situation was not worse. It would be interesting to find out what happens to the driver of the other boat.
Thanks for sharing.
