Question Driftboat bottom coatings

My question is what are the alternatives besides coat-it or UHMW? I can't believe that I am limited to reapplying coat-it to the bottom of my driftboat every 3 or 4 yrs or UHMW which is very$$$, Thanks in advance!

yep, your stuck. Although LinTrucks in Tacoma has a bedliner material that is better than the others. Not rec'd for glass boats.

Hi there,

I have an older wood driftboat. When I bought it the false bottom (or shoe) was rotted out. I replaced it by using some fiberglass cloth, west system epoxy, and mixed in graphite powder to make the bottom slick. It now slides over the rocks with ease. Also, I love the reassured feeling as the bottom seems bullet proof. Four years later it is doing great. And just like clackacraft I fear no rock now.
