storms, war, the economy, now no herring
Tried Westport boat basin Thurs. and today.
Beginning of outgoing Thurs. 8 large. Last of incoming today 2 fish! :whazzup:
An old-timer (even older than me)said that he heard that they might be spawning in a different area ??? when I said that I don't like the large herring for salmon fishing he said that he will fish big baits for Kings anytime. Too bad that Grays Harbor is supposed to be closed for Kings this year. [img]graemlins/berry.gif[/img]
Lots of crab being caught, lot of small but some I talked to had caught 5 and 7 keepers in about 2 hours (not too bad).
Anybody doing anything elsewhere??
