Might depend on how fast you are going Kerry. I would say at towing speed, it's not much stress......
Ok, sorry about that! I added riggers to the sides of my cabin this year and had the same concern. I added a about a 15" X 15" X 1" marine plywood backplate to each rigger base behind the glass and through bolted the bases. I can yard on the pretty hard and get zero movement in the glass. Your gunnels should be already pretty rock solid, but you could add a long backplate inside just to distribute the pressure. I have a crab davit mounted on my gunnel, and I can hang 100 lbs out there in rolling seas and it does just fine. Pretty sure it would hold twice that, but again, it has a backing plate to distribute the weight. I see plenty of "thru-glass" roof mounted riggers, all have pretty good backing plates as well. So your radar arch might work fine, as long as it doesn't just screw on and is well supported.
