Default Wiring a driftboat for an Electric Motor

Several months back, someone showed how they had set-up and wired their driftboat for an electric trolling motor. This included pictures of the entire rebuild with the batteries mounted in the bow, wiring under the floor, and all the steps taken to get this job done. I have attempted to use the search function of the site, but without success. Can anyone direct me to that post???? Thanks

i'm thinking now it was STS. I called to see if they could direct me to which months edition, but there search function is not set-up yet to find such things. If anyone knows which edition, that would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

Soul Harvest,

The article in STS is from the October-November 2003 issue. It was written by Carmen Macdonald and it is on page 82. It is a very professional installation and includes an onboard charger.

I have a 20 foot Sportjet sled and the best money I have spent on the boat is for a Riptide 80 with 3X steering and an onboard charger.

Good luck on your project.

Mike

Thanks STLHEAD1,
I have the freshwater version of the Riptide with 3X steering. With batteries up front, I think it will work well for the drift boat.
