Default Mapping software

Anyone know of some good mapping software thats compatable with Garmin GPS? I'm currently using Google Earth Plus but would like to do more. I would like to keep the cost in the $50 range. Something that includes satalite photos is a plus.
Thanks
CM

I have the Garmin map software and it is very good. Good topo for all of the US. However, it retails for about $100, but try looking for it on sale somewhere, thats how I got mine.
