Default Need help with Furuno GP1650DF

Just installed the new unit yesterday, and think I'll love it. I need help putting the temp on the sounder screen, I know there must be a way to get it on there but need help. If you have one of these units can you please help me?

Gregotis - nto familiar with this particular unit- but I have another furuno and a raytheon. They both use the same methodology to do this. Find a menu item called "data boxes" there should be a list of optional items you can display (or not) by selecting/toggling them as "on or "off".

Now if you can help me move my Sea temp display on my Ratheon I'd really consider it a favor. Dang thing sits right on the digital depth readout and covers about 2/3 of the depth number!!!
Can't figure out how to lock in the temp calibration number either!

PS- No matter what happens DO NOT READ the manual! (It's really really bad luck!)

1. Press the [MENU] key.
2. Press the soft key DISPLAY OPTIONS.
3. Press the soft key NEXT PAGE.

TEMP GRAPH
Displays water temperature in line graph
form. (See Figure 2-2 on page 2-2.) Requires
water temperature data. The default setting
is off.

4. change this to on

This will put a line on your sounder graph at the temp of the water with a scale on both sides one should be depth and the other temp...

I've had the graph on, but does not give the actual deg # like 61.0, just a line. I'm looking to get the actual number on the screen at the top where the lat. & lon. #'s are in the little white box. I think I had it once but started to fall asleep trying to get it back up.

Master,

Just with the little that I've played with it it's going to be an easy unit to use. It was real easy to install, but be sure when fitting the transducer be sure not to let the kickup bracket lock in with the transducer before it's mounted. It's not too big of a deal just hard to get back apart. I don't know if this makes sence or not but contact me if it doesn't.

Now I know I wasn't dreaming when I saw it on the screen. When you find out how to get it on again let me know.

Keta,
That was a good one, but now I'm afraid to type anything! Now that I look at things I've typed I sound like a perv.

Greg, I cheated (I am lazy) and let a professional do the install! Actually I had alterior motives, my radio never worked very well and my previous depth finder interferred with it so I decided to let them put it in so I could blame them for my poor reception (I am bad sometimes!) but they actually noticed some problems and fixed them anyway so it was well worth the expense (killed two birds with one stone). I also had them install my remote spotlight while they had it apart. Next time time I am at the boat, I will try to figure it out.

Keta, LMAO!

That's not cool, cheaters never win. You mean I'm going to be the only one that sits for 45min trying to get the transducer separated from the bracket.
