Default Fishing Line Question

400 to 500 yards of fishing line seems to be about right for halibut or tuna. So where do you get it? Should I buy a 1200yrd roll? Last time I had GI Joes put line on my reel they got about 75% of what I thought should have been able to fit. Thanks for the info.

I've never seen anyone save a huge amount of money buying a big spool. You might give 9 or 10 cents a yard for the big spool vs. 10 or 12 for buying it retail as you need it.

If you spool up at Joes bring a glove (for the associate to use) and make the winder put it on really tight.

It will pack in after a little use and the spool will not be full anymore.
