My boat was purposely grounded for the hunt.Huntin a mud flat with a 3 ft. deep channel 20 yard's out in front. The wigeon's like to feed along the water edge and up on the flat's.And in my the picture you can not see, but there is alot of sea lettuce on the flat's.And when the tide come's in we do not need to reposition the boat. That day the boat was only grounded for about 1.5 hr's.At time's we will ground the boat in other spot's of the bay and walk out a few hundred yard's and set up a few fullbodie's and hide behind driftwood and wack geese too.

Re: 2008 Edition Duck Boat Thread
Daryn,
You seem to be jonesin' just as bad as me for the season to get here. I am going to start making some modifications to the boat and blind next week while the wife and kids are out of town. I should be able to get a lot done without interuptions.

By the way Jason post up the boat I know you've got it, I mean Kari's got it done now, your too busy shmoozin the Docs and the land owners to do anything handy .

Yeah, I think the guy that designed and built it is on this board, but now he tries to hide his boat high and dry rather then using a bllind for concealment.
I am thinking about it. I have a couple of small projects to start on it next week so depending on progress I may enter it. The major one is going completely through all of the wiring and redoing all of the connections with dielectric grease and heat shrinking them. I also need to replace or clean up the fuse panel.

Ok you got me. That there is funny Yeah Kari almost got the boat done, then when I get my foot out of this boot I'll be able to hunt with the dog she trained up for me.

This is a great thread. I have been working on mine trying to get it ready in time for the season opener. May have to wait another week though. Keep the pics comming, keeps me motivated to get it done and gives me a lot of great ideas
