Beaver Marine/Gresham

Have any Salty Dogs had their boat motors worked on at Beaver Marine in Gresham?

If you have had engine work done there, I would appreciate any input on the quality of service. Thanks......Deepline

Um, no motors, just (many) prop and skeg welds, and a few parts. Never had a problem since 1987.
BUT- I read somewhere on another thread that the guy who started Beaver (the ex-IBM guy) sold it to somebody else. I hope not, 'cuz he is a great guy. Honest and extremely helpful.
I gotta take another prop in there soon, so I guess I'll find out what the current crew is like.

A friend of mine had his 115hp Merc. powerhead rebuilt there last year. He didn't have any problems with it until the month after the warranty ran out, then the same thing happened and they told him it would cost another $3,500 to have it fixed. He opted for a new 115 honda instead. They also charged him $400 to find out that it was the same problem with the powerhead. I do know some other people that have had good luck with them. I have only had props rebuilt there.
