Default Good fortune...

What are the odds of meeting a guy at GI Joes you've never met before, finding out he's a nice guy and you have a lot in common as far as fishing goes, and he happens to have a few tuna feathers laying around that he doesn't use any more so he gives them all to you? All because I overheard him talking about catching one of only four recycled steelhead below foster dam (which I heard of first on ifish)???

Its good to be Lucky,
in fact I have always said:
I would rather be Lucky than good.
You got lucky, way to go, now figure a way to wear those lucky charms out.

That's my buddy! I told the story of him catching a tagged fish in the Santiam. I work with him! We share fish stories and lament when the rivers get blown out. It's gotta be. His name is Gary, right?

And I didn't even know he had feathers! How could I have missed that???? But wait. Now I remember.... I'm a wannabe. Never caught one, so I had no story to tell. I am soooooo honest that I wouldn't even do an early brag about a fish I've never caught - but gonna catch!

Tell me that will do my karma good. Tell me it's good juju.

Uh....did you also buy a lottery ticket?

Uh oh. His name is Bruce and if he caught the SECOND of 4 fish tagged by the hatchery then I'm gonna start thinking we have a conspiracy going on The feller in question has some similar So. Cal. memories (bait barges and smoked bonita) and is retired.

Skein, I think me and you both need to go in on a lottery ticket..

Pilar, 9 of the jigs say patco and/or patco pro and fishing factory on them. Three have pearl heads (and one of those says japan). Four have metal heads and no other markings. The rest have what looks like a cursive "Z". I'm assuming these are Zukers?

Wow, too bad none of those will work. I'd throw them out.

(shhhhh, anybody know where Salmonator lives and which day his garbage gets picked up?)
