threading a stand up rod's lower roller?
Question? on my stand up rods the lower roller has three rollers. not sure how to thread it. all i can come up with is that snake it thru both roller. which would lift the line up off the handle. therefore not cutting in to your hand?
would this be correct?

Straight thru....Don't weave. You have only one lower roller, looks like a Tidewater

Re: threading a stand up rod's lower roller?
I dissagree Keta, it should be strung between the top two rollers. When you finally get a serious enough bend in the rod it will all make sense. The bottom two rollers feed the line just right for the loaded rod. The top one reduces tension as the line is headed to the reel. That's how I rig my Penn Senator and it works great for me.
Under the top roller and over the second roller, you won't regret it

Here is what I'm talking about when I say a bend in a loaded rod...
You can't really make out my rollers but they are strung the way I describe above. Under the top roller and straight to the next eye.
Than go put a real bend in that rod and see if I sent you astray...

No disrespect Keta, you just need to hook a bigger fish. Maybe we can make that happen this year?

BC, sooner or later you will load that rod up proper and see those rollers at work, it is a beautiful thing
