Your best bet for catching black rockfish would be out around Neah Bay. Most of the kelp beds from Waddah Island out to Cape Flattery and around the corner hold plenty of fish.

I just got back from there and it was great!!! But, please keep in mind that there is a depth restriction in place. We purchased Canada licences and were able to fish for halibut, sea bass and kings.

We took home alot Cabazon, Lingcod, Sea Bass and managed to hook (7) kings, landing (3), with the biggest at 31lb. Salmon fishing is closed on Sundays up there.

Good Luck!!!

Sundays and Mondays. The black rock fish are (almost) everywhere there's 30 to 50 feet of water and kelp.
