Little Italy has 64.1 degree water at the same place the blue water resides!

Re: Latest SST and Cloro very nice!
I'm running off the CR both Saturday and Sunday for tuna. Saturday will be a tuna halibut combo trip. Sunday will be an all out load the boat trip for groceries. Full crews both days.

With the big tides what time are you planning on heading out?

Re: Latest SST and Cloro very nice!
early as I can get bait. Dean is trying to arrange for the dock to be open earlier so that we can get across the bar prior to any possible big stuff developing. Hopefully they will open at 4 am so that we can motor out and cross the bar asap. If there are some decent rollers will wait, as Dean said, until a little visability allows a view of the bar at the jetty tips.

Re: Latest SST and Cloro very nice!
We're trying to do a combo hali/tuna for Friday and Saturday. Friday we may be waiting out the ebb if the swell doesn't come down. Saturday looks much more do-able early in the am. I am not set up for live bait "yet" so I will be casting swim baits once we get hook ups. No time to waste with such big tides.

Doing OK! Ditto on the "ready for tuna." Too long a winter (and spring, and....). You know it's bad when your wife PLEADS with you to go fishing to "adjust the attitude" and all you can say is (a) wind still blowing (b) no tuna within 100 miles of Newport (c) no salmon (d) no __________

Mark, I think this statement: "no tuna within 100 miles of Newport" is not correct and I hope to prove it's incorrectness this Friday! There is clear, warm water less than 50 nm west of Newport. Conditions are sure to change between now and Friday, but how they change we'll have to wait and see.

3 and 6 oh joy of joy. "I..........am a man........of constant sorrows........." Seems to be the theme song for this bummer summer. Darn global warming.

Garibaldi Oregon. "Garibaldi" I believe was some sort of Italian explorer for which this town is named after. Might wanna ask the history from someone that really knows their stuff.
