Reef Fish Quiz

I got 12 out of 15. On the three I missed, I was looking for "bait", but it wasn't there.

It's different every time, second try I got 14 out of 15.

11 out of 15. Pictures were bad on some but that's not why I missed them.

First try was 10/15, second was 12, then a bunch of thirteens, finally a 15 for 15 after about 8 trys..

Waiteman, Garibaldi, they really like crushed sea urchins. Smash some in your goody bag with the ab iron and sit back and watch the orange fish dart in for a little dine and dash.

10/15 those California fish are a little different.

Thanks for the link. Scored 13/15, 11/15, and 15/15. That was a fun little diversion. Fortunately, after a few loops through, I had most of the odd ball ones memorized.

Do you guys know a good website that does have pictures for identification? We only get one fish up here on certain species of rocks, so..... The wife gets mad when I say, "Uh, I think we can't keep this one!!!!" :depressed:

Most of my knowledge comes from one of my favorite books called "Probably more than you want to know about the fishes of the Pacific Coast." by Milton Love. He has a great website with loads of pics.

9/15 and 10/15. It is amazing how good a person can guess with the names in front of you. When I am in a boat, they all have the same name: FISH :grin:
