SeaLion Roars!
Just got a call from Mr. Fisherman who's been hanging out at Multnomah Channel today drowning herring and getting the SeaLion scaly.
He says she's doing much better. Still only about 2/3 the way to seaworthiness, but he's feeling pretty good about it!
Yaaaaay! Way to go Mr. F!

Re: SeaLion Roars!
Good news, Ray. What's with the "other" 1/3 ? Carbs? Tuning? Or something not even related to the engine?
Sure sounds like you're gonna be ready when the time comes. Yes!!!

Re: SeaLion Roars!
We're thinking it's a timing thing. Maybe another coil
It WILL get flushed out (we were near the Willamette after all )
Just a matter of time....

Re: SeaLion Roars!
Well after rebuilding the carbs, fixing a loose connection on the oil flow switch and bleeding the oil delivery system the Sea Lion is ready for trial. I ran it for a couple of hours today up and down the MC and had a blast. It purrs like a kitten and I am stoked. River trial next Thursday?
Who wants ta?

Re: SeaLion Roars!
Love to go with you but I have this work thing that keeps getting in my way. Friday about mid day I am good, but Thursday, no can do.
Glad to hear your baby is purring again. We will get the DG in here pretty quick and see if she can do some purring of her own.
Looking forward to getting the season started.

Re: SeaLion Roars!
Skein, I'm usually working while you are sleeping.
Captn, I would like to get the trial done just in case the weather pans out for the 15th. I am hopeful that the front will come and go with the forecast. Time will tell but I am doing what I can to be ready.
There is lots of floatsom in the rivers and a trial may be difficult. Stay tuned... This early season stuff is sketchy...
