Default Tidal currents?

Could someone tell me which way the tidal currents go on a incoming tide?

Ron,
Relative to what? I think we need a frame of reference here.

Speaking of tidal currents here is an excellent website that does current predictions on the CR. It only goes 1 day in the future but it sure is handy tidal currents , it does a nice little graph showing current speeds and directions relative to the time of day

I should have mentioned on the previous post to click the tides link in the upper left hand corner of the page. The link in the center of the page is for demo only.

I know what a incoming tide is, what I don't know is whether the tidal currents in the ocean go north or south during the incoming tide. For example, if your in the fog and you are navigating in are you being swept north or south with the tidal current? (on a incoming tide)
