I'm sorry I missed this presentation. Had planned to attend but something came up at the last moment that prevented me.
I hope there was a good turnout and everyone is stoked about putting an end to this devistating fishing method.

John, he is more than willing so long as we pick up the tab for a motel room for him and his wife and pay his fuel costs.
Let me know where and when and I'll arrange it.

Thanks all of you who participated. We had several good presentations although some of the authors could not make it to the meeting.

If we could just move the meeting place to a more central location.

When we meet again, lets find a more universal date and time that everyone can do. So, any thoughts you might have for date/time or suggestions on a location are welcome. I realize Hillsboro works for all of you West siders but the traffic can be rough for Wassies and valley folks.

Regrettably I will be out for a few days so I can't spend much time here till Wednesday or so.

Till then, think about the next meeting, when, where and so on. We have much more to learn and I am reading all of the info that has been sent to me. Thanks, Pete and Janice. I know action is fairly important but we are still learning about the situation.

I think for the next meeting we should concentrate on finding people to educate us about what is possible to change. Auntie M gave an excellent paper on possible fishing methods as alternatives to gillnetting. The floating fish trap was very interesting. Also, finding a 'ghost net' would be an opportunity to get some exposure in the media. This problem will only get fixed by public involvement, not through the usual channels.

Ray, can 'Doc' come and give us some clues on finding and disposing of 'Ghost nets'?
