Predator Scope Recommendations?

I am going to get a 22-250. Wondering what scope I should mount on it? I will be shooting everything from bobcat at 25 yards to cougar at 200 yards to coyotes at 400 yards. I want to be able to aquire a target at 25 yards without issue and still be able to shoot long distances. Last criteria is that I dont want to spend more than about $300. I like Leupold for their local excellent warrantee. I know a guy that has an older VX-1 3x9 for $100.

Leupold VX-II 2X7 Wide duplex if you can get it. 2X is nice for the close in field of view. 7X will take you to 400yrds easy. Tell us about your 22-250 when you get it/decide.

I really like my Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14x40 on my AR.

I would say a scope in the 3X12 X 40/50 range would work well if any one makes a 3X12. See Bushnell I like their 3200 Elite scopes
on my 2-.243s and my 22.250 and the cost is under $300. On my big bores .264 Win. Mag and my 300 Win. Mag I use Leupold mid grade scopes.

Weaver V-16. It's a 4x16x42 and they have an adjustable objective lens which lets you focus from 30 feet out to well oer 400 yards. They also have a one-piece tube which a lot of scopes don't. I have one on a bull barrel .22-250 and it is a perfect scope for that caliber. The price is good also.
