Default This just in, 36 Albies

Just got msg from one of the Illwaco boys.

36 fish on one stop.

Have to assume they had live bait as boat is moored in Illwaco.

Tuna are dying today

I was on CircaFish today we got 16, back to the dock at 1pm to clean up for the captains meeting. We could of easily filled the boat. Fish were found at 44-49 miles out. Mexi flags and Zucc's. One quintuplet landed.

CircaFish = Good skipper

Not suprised

Short day, catch a quick 16, have some fun, hit the dock by 1 PM, all cleaned up for the meeting & some rest and parley pops.

Nice, very nice

This is getting exciting. Can't wait to hear how the rest of the fleet did. Today's weather predictions were great. If only it didn't cost to play than I wouldn't have had to work today. All day just wishin I was fishin.

Hello all the Salty D's
Here is your friday TUNA report. Colbachlaw (Shake N Bake) was an awesome host for this disable Vet and his crew. We pulled out of Ilwalco at around 6:45 after topping off with feul and picking up some live bait. We headed straight west. At about the 124.50 we decided to start trolling, again heading west. An hour later, we decided to change the trolling jigs as Captain MIke slowed Shake N Bake down we heard FISH ON!!!, Then immediately again FISH ON!!!! as the double is working suddenly Captain Mike says "There is one on this line, Now it is a triple "Yeah Baby!!!!
For the next hour and 15 minutes we hauled in 36 tuna, we hooked the first one at 10:30 and quit at 11:45 because there was no more room in the kill bag, we stuffed two bags full!!!

I would like to say a HUGE thank you to Captain Mike and his crew Dave and Brian for making this Vet's maiden tuna trip, one ot the most memorable experiences of my life.

Colbachlaw, anytime you need a deck hand give me a call, You Rock!!!

Too bad the tourney wasn't today, as I hit the bite of my life today.

Lots of fish and big ones too.

One went 40 +.

Five guys got their first tuna today.

Too bad I had a clogged fuel filter and had to run in at 10 knots, but we will be running out at 20 knots tomorrow.

There should be plenty of tuna tomorrow, just head west past the 125 line and troll. Throw out some live bait when you get a hookup and keep feeding them til you plug the boat.

I hope it is this good tomorrow, as it was better than any day in 07' and we could have put 60 in the boat if that was our goal.

See you guys tomorrow.

Mike C
