We are happy to announce our Summer Steelhead Derby is back again to be held on July 25th, 26th, and 27th with the weigh-ins at the Kalama marina and Awards BBQ at the marina day park. We've added a ladies largest fish prize to our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd largest fish prizes as well as the largest youth fish and smallest legal fish. A great BBQ and drinks as well as a shot at numerous really nice door prizes and a free Steelhead Challenge T-shirt (if signed up by 7/15) are included with your entry. Great fun was had by all last year and we hope you can attend. The largest fish last year was 12.15 lbs caught on the Columbia below Longview. Mark your calendar for Saturday September 6th, get your entry form filled out, and mailed in for the 1st Annual Jess Hillyer Memorial Salmon Round-up. CCA Oregon is hosting this fall salmon fishing derby on the Columbia River and it's tributaries up to Bonneville Dam. There will be two weigh-in locations. The first will be at Trojan Park in Rainer, Oregon and the other will be at Chinook Landing in Troutdale, Oregon. Weigh-in will run from noon until 4pm. The awards and BBQ will be held at Trojan Park beginning at 3 pm.

Event Schedule

Fishing
Saturday, September 6, 2014. For Salmon and steelhead from the Columbia River and its tributaries up to Bonneville Dam. Fish to be presented for weigh-in gutted, gilled,
with blood line (kidney) removed. See rules, release and indemnity for further details.
Sorry, but no registration or entry forms will be accepted after September 4th.

Weigh In
No fish will be weighed after 4:00 pm Saturday September 6th.
The weigh in will be held: 12pm - 4pm
at Trojan Park (Rainier, OR) & at Chinook Landing (Troutdale, OR)
See rules, release and indemnity agreement for further details.

Awards BBQ
Will be held at Trojan Park in Rainer, OR. Follow the “CCA Event” signs from Hwy 30.
Each entrant will receive a meal ticket at the BBQ. Additional BBQ plates can be purchased at the event.
Entrants will also receive one drawing ticket for a chance at our many door prizes (must be present to claim).
BBQ Awards schedule: Eat, drink, be merry: 3pm-7pm Door prizes and awards: 4pm-5pm

We hope you will join us for an evening of fun and enjoyment raising money to support our statewide campaign to help the fisheries and marine resources in Oregon.

Miller Hall at the World Forestry Center in Portland is the site for our 7th Annual Banquet to benefit CCA Oregon. It's located by the Portland Zoo at 4033 SW Canyon Road. Our parking attendant will greet you, ask for your parking space number, and give you directions for the short walk to Miller Hall.

Doors open at 5:30 pm with registration and check-in. While socializing with guests, view the Live Auction items, bid on the Silent Auction, buy raffle tickets and play some fun games. Hors d'oeuvres will be served along with a no host bar. New this year is a bottomless pint of beer for $20 and you keep the commemorative glass.

Default Gear Buy & Swap Meet - Keizer, Nov 4th

Everyone is invited to the Fishing & Outdoor Gear Buy & Swap Meet on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 , from7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Fishing clubs participating in this event include the Coastal Conservation Association, the Mid-Willamette Valley Angling Club, and the NW Steelheaders. Admission is free.

BUY: There is a large assortment of rods, reels, tackle, nets, and gear for fishing, boating and possibility a little hunting stuff. Even some outdoor clothing. Many items, perhaps most, are new, or virtually new.

We even a have refreshments!

WHERE: Keizer Community Center (City Hall), 930 Chemawa Rd NE, Keizer, OR 97303.
WHEN: Tuesday, November 4th, beginning at 7:00 pm.

Lower Columbia monthly meeting Thurs. the 11th 6:30pm the Carriage restaurant in Longview a block from Bobs on 12th. Ave. Cameron Black will be doing a seminar on local Kokanee fishing hope to see you there.
