Default Tillamook Sturgeon
Heard a rumor that one boat hooked seven sturgeon (2 keepers) in the west channel Thursday. Anyone fishing prehistorics in the bay lately? Wondering how the crab problem is??

Since the last rain the crabs have not been an issue. Hopefully we will get enough rain this week to keep them out for a while.

We fished last sunday and only landed 3 dinks all around 31" and never saw a keeper landed. Seems to be more undersized fish this year than I have ever seen. I have yet to get a keeper this winter. :blush:

They are gill netting ( for research ) this week to tag a bunch. That should tell how many actual keepers are available.
