Default Raymarine E120 and SST's

I saw an article online about the ability of my E120 to link up with a satellite service and show SST's.

Anyone done this?

Any idea of the cost and who does this?

Thanks,

Mike C

Mike, I think you're talking about the Sirius Marine Weather system. More info here: http://www.sirius.com/marineweather . Check out the FAQ - there are several systems that are capable of receiving and displaying the data from this subscription service.

I do not have one, but this is what you need. You need to purchase a SR 100 Sirius Satellite Weather Service Receiver. They run $750 to $900 depending on were you get it. You then need to subscribe Sirius Weather, this is $29.99/Mo plus $50 activation fee.

Go to Raymarine.com and type in "Sirius Marine Weather" in the search feature for more info.

I have the 120 and Sirius weather. I don't think the SST is anything to write home about, but I'm sure there is a real expert out there who could show me how to tweak the features. I think it's a much "bigger picture" looks at the SSTs. Wind, weather, bouys reports are all nice features.

You can look at mine this weekend if you like. I'm landing in Hammond Friday evening...departing Sunday.
