This years 8th annual Oregon Waterfowl Festival is going to be another great time had by all and an event worth traveling for. We are holding it at the Polk County Fairgrounds in Rickreall, OR just 20 miles west of Salem. With calling contests, waterfowl vendors, big air dogs, tons of kids events and prizes, food vendors, camping, decoy painting, Pro-Staffers from several different companies on hand to answer any questions you might, waterfowl hunting seminars, etc.

Also, Don't forget we are having the last two calling clinics and bbq on July 25th at Polk County Fairgrounds and August 1st at the eastside check station on the Sauvie Island Wildlife area.

9:00 A.M. Junior/Novice Duck (open to anyone who hasn’t won a Novice, state, regional or open competition)
Prizes through 5th place. Over $1,000 in prizes up for grabs
$20.00 entry fee

10:00 A.M. Junior/Novice Goose (open to anyone who hasn’t won a state, regional or open competition)
Prizes through 5th place. Over $1,000 in prizes up for grabs

11:00 A.M.Oregon State Goose (Oregon State residents only)
Prizes through 3rd place. $1,200 in Dave Smith Decoys in prizes up for grabs
$30.00 entry fee

12:00 P.M.Oregon State Duck (Oregon State residents only)
Winner represents the state of Oregon at the World’s Duck Calling Championship
Prizes through 3rd place. Over $1,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs
$30.00 entry fee

2:00 P.M.West Coast Live Spec Championship (60 second live spec) (2 rounds)
Prizes through 3rd place. Over $500 in prizes up for grabs
$25.00 entry fee

3:30 P.M. $500 Final Approach Open Goose
Prizes through 3rd place. $1,000 in cash up for grabs
$40.00 entry fee

5:00 P.M. $500 Final Approach Open Duck
Prizes through 3rd place. $1,000 in cash up for grabs

Sorry I didn't put it up there in the first place, my mistake. We are running the juniors and Novice contests as one contest to get as many callers involved as possible. The junior/novice contest will also pay through 5th place allowing more callers to walk away with prizes. I really think this will benefit everyone as the callers can work together to make this a really fun event. I'm looking forward to it. See ya there.
