You all came up with some great names. I think i found one !!!! . My wife liked it , my son liked it, and i pretty much like it as well. " Nimpkish".It is the name of a clan of natives who live in Brittish Columbia. The largest river system on Vancouver Is. has the name .. My father lives at the mouth of the Nimpkish River. I want to know what it means . There are other clans "otter clan" ect..... How can i find the meaning of a word like Nimpkish???. id. p.

I hope it turns out to be something you want to use. I know that in your neck of the woods it will truly be unique.
When I tried to look up Nimpkish in the encylopedia I found Nimitz, Nimrod and Nina but no Nimpkish.
On the internet all I could find was a Halibut Totem. I wonder.....

Thanks for helping me look , Mr Fisherman. I have found several translation sites but no luck finding meaning. I do know that the people who live there are part of the Namgis tribe. the various groups go by clan, granit clan, and otter clan , and the nimpkish clan. Ill find out , . I may have to call someone on the island and ask... id. p.
