Default Columbia Walleye

I think I'm finally going to get a chance to fish the CR for walleye below Bonneville. It's really weird. I haven't heard much chatter about walleye this year and the ODFW has been saying "no reports" for weeks. Has anyone had any luck? Any suggestions would be great. I think I'm just going to start out bouncing a crawler harness. Thanks.

I'll be headed out tomorrow and will put in a report. Planning on fishing the Camas area.

I've been out a few times wih zero results. The dams are slow the flows now, so maybe you might find some fish. I'm headed up to Maryhill below the John day Dam Wednesday for 4+ days.

Mojo,
Let me know what kind of boat you have..I am going up hopefully on Wednesday or Thursday for a day. I have always wanted to fish around Millers Island for both bass & eyes. I have also seen on this board that the Steelhead can be had at the mouth of the Deschutes.
Here's what my boat looks like, maybe I'll see you there!

I'll probably be up more towards the Biggs bridge area and the barge.
I'll keep an eye out for ya.

I also think I will be able to fish up near Biggs also starting Tues. or Wed. I've fished the John Day arm near Lapaige park a number of times but have never fished the CR below the John Day dam. Could someone suggest where would be a good place to camp? I think I know where the boat ramp is. Thanks

I'll be camped at Maryhill State Park on the Washington side, right at the Biggs bridge. Excellent campsite and boat ramp- you probably should get reservations http://www.camis.com/WA/camping/maps.asp?loc=201.

On the Oregon side, there is a ramp and camping at rufus- some free camping down on the gravel bar.
