Default Pole Barn Shop.

I am considering a change of residence my current house and shop are too small so we have been looking for houses with shops in Vancouver / Brush Prarie area. It seems we either like the house or the shop but never both. I am thinking of just getting the house we want then build a 50 x 60 shop pole barn. Anyone know what it would cost to build one? I have read a couple posts lately about guys building them so what kind of Sq Ft price are we talking?
Thanks Mike

Pick up a copy of the nickel ads. Lots of builders in there with prices listed.

Thanks for the info anyone know the going price for concrete per yard? I picked up a nickel add but only saw one outfit in Salem listed and they had kit prices. I don't think I want to build it myself I would probably have the thing erected, insulated and concrete poured then I will light and electrify it myself.

Pole footings or slab? Just the concrete itself or concrete poured in place and finished? What part of town?

PM me for more info.

M&W, Long Bros are couple places you might check with. Mine was done about 2 yrs ago, 36x48 and I finished up a little over 20k with concrete and roll up doors.

There were a couple threads about this a while back try a search "Pole Barn" there were some good numbers presented. I know that the prices change often on the kits, by the time we had the money ready for ours he said he had to re-bid it cause the prices had changed in the lumber/sheet metal.

I do not have a location at this time we are in the process of looking for a new place and I just wanted to know what it would cost to add the shop. When and if I find something I will be looking for a contractor and some more exact quotes. I am just trying to get a ball park price now and I think I have that so thanks to all the information.

Thank you for the advice as a moderator I am quit familiar with the search function. I did a search to start with but just like your comment about the price change I was looking for something very recent price wise.
