If I were a tuna, I would attack them! But if I were a springer I would bite my herring much more too!

It's nice modification and I don't see how it can hurt.

Forget you RJ! After this apparel and flag ordeal I'm going to need a new computer from all the emails I've been sending!

thought you would get a chuckle out of that Rod...Lepper all ya need is some tuna hooks ,fly tying tinsel and imagination...nice thing about the hot tail hooks are you can change them around different colored clones to see if one is being bit more than another.RJ

forgive my ignorance, is a tuna hook different from a regular 7/0 hook?

Lepper- SOP on Albi feathers is to run double hooks. Why two and not one (singles) or three (trebles) is beyond me! It's the only fishery besides bottom fish (on a lead or pipe jig) I know of that the doubles are used!
The only explanation that I've ever been given is that they aren't used for Tuna/Marlin down south because they are against IGFA rules. Whether the hook up rate is higher or not I haven't heard anyone say.
