That's a nice place to fish. Sometimes you do have to look out for people letting their dogs off leash, though. One time I had actually spotted a school of bass near the surface and I was in the process of cleaning up on them with a fly rod and an olive green wooly bugger. I cast to the outside of the school and directed the first two fish away so as not to spook the rest of the fish. Then some lady let her dog loose right next to the sign that says dogs must be on a leash. It dove into the water right next to me, and I didn't get anymore bass that day.

I didn't even say anything, I just picked up my stuff and walked away.
Some of my kids have gotten their first fish there. My second kid was 18 months old when he walked off with his brother's fishing pole and there was a bluegill at the end of the line.

My oldest went there to do a video for his high school history class entitled "Lewis and Clark the Way It Really Happened." Saw a pontoon out there, probably one of you guys.

I need to get out there again. St. Louis Ponds has not been that good to me.
