Rockfish Revisited

Was anyone able to attend the rockfish meeting in Garibaldi last night?

The Commission, in an attempt to prevent overfishing, directed ODFW staff to solicit public input on a proposal to reduce the allowed harvest to 20 percent below the harvest in 2000.

We asked for the conservative approach; Lets just hope it is supported at these meetings.

There will be another meeting in Port Orford, Thursday the 30th.

Thanks for posting Fishplay. I'm unable to make the meetings this week, but plan on attending the commission meeting on Friday, Feb 7.

That would be the one at the Sportsman Show.

Do you know where exactly it will be held?

There must be a conference room or something there at the expo.

Fishplay - There sure ought to be a room designated or something. I'll see what I can find, including a guesstimate of what time this agenda item will be addressed.
